Environmental trust

Futurefish Foundation is a registered Environmental Organisation eligible to receive tax deductible donations. This status is provided by the Commonwealth Governments Department for the Environment and allows Futurefish the opportunity to receive corporate sponsorship as well as public donations to put towards our project work with an environmental focus.

This work includes habitat restoration and improvement, research into environmental effects of factors which effect recreational fishing as well as all environmental components of events and general projects we undertake.

Our Environmental Trust currently operates on approximately $60,000 pa from public and corporate donations into our public fund.

Each year, we are obliged to report on our environmental outcomes to the Commonwealth Government. To read previous years reports, click on the links below.

Our current major project being supported by our Environmental Trust is the “Barramundi in Hazelwood Pondage” project. We are currently undertaking research on the environmental effects of establishing a Barramundi Fishery at Hazelwood. This study will input into Fisheries Victoria’s decision making process to allow the fishery to be established.

So if you would like to help us continue the great work we are doing for the recreational fishing environment, why not make a tax deductible donation now. That’s right, if you would like to donate to the Futurefish Foundation Environmental Trust, you can claim your donation as a tax deduction on your next income tax assessment.
